Our family is dedicated to creating a unique experience for all our guests, from honeymooners to couples and families, so we invite you to read these terms carefully. Do not hesitate to contact us at trudy@stayatripples.co.nz if you have any questions, it will be our pleasure to help.

Families with children

Whilst we warmly welcome families and children to share our beautiful sanctuary at Ripples, we have unlimited access to flowing water. Our guests' safety is super important to us and under New Zealand Health and Safety laws we do not accept children from 0-4 years old, also no infants. We ask that you do not book guests that pose a risk of drowning. All other children need to be constantly supervised by a sober adult.

 

Non-smoking

As required by New Zealand Law and as the well-being and comfort of all guests at Ripples is important to us, we have a non-smoking and a non-vaping policy that applies to our cabin.

 

Arrival & Departure

For River Song Cabin (Ripples One)

Our normal check-in and check-out times are 2:00 pm and 10:00 am with the option of a late out of midday with a late check out fee of $50.00.

Arrival & Departure

For Cascade Cabin (Ripples Two)

Our normal check-in and check-out times are 3:00 pm and 11:00 am with the option of a late out of 1pm with a late check out fee of $50.00. 

 

Cancellations

• • Cancellations 14 days or more before your stay are refundable less a 3% credit card fee plus a $25 administration fee, however, we much prefer to rebook you as you don't want to miss a stay at Ripples.

  • Cancellations received 7 -14 days prior are 50% refundable.

  • Cancellations within 7 or fewer days of your date of arrival are non-refundable.

  • All changes to bookings will incur a $25 administration fee.

  • If you wish to change your booking please contact us.  

 

Changing your dates

Please contact us directly if you wish to change your dates. This will incur a $25 alteration fee

 

Minimum length of stay

Ripples Retreat has a 2-night minimum stay, and a 3-5 night minimum on long weekends, Summer holidays and Easter.

Dogs

As we are a working farm with young lambs, unfortunately, we cannot allow pets at Ripples.

Parties

Ripples has a NO party policy.

Extra Guests and Visitors

You are welcome to have friends and family visit whilst you are staying at Ripples but we do ask that they limit their stay to no more than 4 hours. No extra unpaid guests are allowed to stay the night. While we value your privacy, we can observe additional guests entering the property.  As a small family business, we value and rely on your honesty, and if anyone tries to bring in unauthorized guests, you will all be asked to leave.

Please contact us if you would like to have additional guests stay and we will adjust your booking accordingly.

NO CAMPAVANS or RV's

EV's can be charged through a slow charge socket.
